Students along with a parent/caregiver will use simple props, music and creative play to explore popular children’s tales while promoting the development of social, motor, and communication skills. Through multi-sensory play, we explore stories about the farm and the many animals who call it home. Have a barnyard dance party, or go on a scavenger hunt to pick some apples. Use props, music, movement, and creative drama to jump into the world of a new story about the farm each class. The creative play approach promotes a child’s development of language and motor skills, and encourages associative play.
Please note that in order for a student to attend this class, s/he must be currently enrolled at Katherine Thomas School's Treatment and Learning Center.
