We first meet Belle in a picturesque French village as she cares for her eccentric father Maurice and avoids the ruthless advances of vain and egocentric Gaston. Belle is different from the other girls in her village; she loves to read and dreams of a life filled with adventure and excitement. When Maurice goes missing in the forest, Belle searches for him and discovers a forgotten castle beyond the trees. She finds her father imprisoned by a horrible Beast and strikes a bargain for his release. As the bargain dictates, Belle must live forever in the castle with the Beast and his servants, who have all been cursed by a vengeful enchantress. Inevitably, as in all fairy tales, there is an out clause, and the servants do all they can to encourage a romance between this beautiful villager and their master that might break the spell. The production features beloved songs such as 'Gaston', 'Be Our Guest' and the title song "Beauty & The Beast", adapted for the stage with original choreography.
