“Dateline: BETHESDA, Maryland, June 2023, Newflash: The evil forces of evilness have struck again! Candy is disappearing from store shelves, swings refuse to swing, and cartoons just aren’t that funny anymore. Is there no one who can rise up and save us before all fun is gone? Where are our young heroes?” Join forces with fellow young crime fighters and help save the day! In this creative drama camp, students explore superhero stories and bring them to life using their actor’s tools of body, voice, mind, and imagination. Exploring the values of being a superhero, students make connections between imaginative worlds and their own life experiences, while working on skills such as active listening, problem solving, and sharing. Grab your cape, don your mask, and get ready to save the city!

Campers work together to create an informal sharing, giving friends and family an opportunity to see these fun character creations (and their newly sharpened theatre arts skills!) on the last day of camp.

Campers provide their own nut-free lunch and snacks. Week-long after-care is available (4:00-6:00 p.m.).
