Why did Little Red Riding Hood end up in a house made of straw, about to be devoured by yet another wolf? Why do Jack’s magic beans sprout into a tower with a long haired maiden at the top? Students put their imaginations to the test and combine their favorite fairy tales into mixed up stories. Through storytelling, crafts, games, and creative scene work, students bring their creations to life. Do they all live happily ever after?
In the afternoon, students aren’t just limited to fairytales! Improvisation, the art of acting without a script, is the ultimate in creative freedom. Through clever games, students learn the rules of improv, how to keep a scene alive, and make their partners look good. A collaborative experience, this camp challenges students to step out of their comfort zone and let collective creativity be the star!
Campers provide their own nut-free lunch and snacks. Week-long after-care is available (4:00-6:00 p.m.)
