To call cut or not to call cut? That is the question. At this camp, there is no question; you can do both! In the morning, students learn the basics of acting for the camera. Students tackle the unique challenges of acting in front of a camera such as filming scenes out of sequence, adjusting for different shots, and consistently hitting marks through multiple takes as they film and act in short scenes.
After a morning filled with camera work, students take on more...footwork? Using the smash Disney hit Descendants as inspiration, students learn the basic techniques and terminology of dance, specifically jazz and hip hop. While portraying the villainous characters of Descendants, students create movement that sets the stage for a wickedly dynamic showing.
Campers provide their own nut-free lunch and snacks. Week-long after-care is available (4:00-6:00 p.m.).
