In the mornings, campers explore the genre of physical comedy and learn how to make an audience laugh through character-based movement. Campers develop their understanding of the importance of timing in comedy, and of course, no clowning camp experience would be complete without learning how to do safe pratfalls!

Then in the afternoon, campers get creative as they collaborate with each other and a teaching artist to develop an original theatrical piece that may include short scenes, monologues, or ensemble-style movement surrounding a theme that is important to the group. Campers gain insight into the play creation process using writing prompts as well as on-your-feet exercises!

Campers provide their own nut-free lunch and snacks. Week-long after-care is available (4:00-6:00 p.m.).
