Imagination Stage

In this camp, campers have the opportunity to work in front of a camera and in front of a live audience. Mornings are spent learning how to adapt their acting technique from stage to screen. Campers are introduced to a variety of exciting and challenging film-specific needs such as shooting scenes out of order (sequencing), blocking (consistency and hitting your mark), and film shots (adjusting for close-up shots and wide shots).
In the afternoon, campers engage in the process of creating a “set” for a stand-up comedy routine. From writing jokes and sketches to learning how to “work” an audience, campers explore using life experiences to maximum comedic potential.
Campers provide their own nut-free lunch and snacks. Week-long after-care is available (4:00-6:00 p.m.).
