The kingdom is in trouble, and we need your help! Join us as we pretend to be adventurous knights, wealthy royalty, and fearsome dragons. Students explore stories that transport them to medieval times, and use their body, voice, mind, and imagination to bring those stories to life. This camp encourages creative expression and promotes self-esteem while working on skills such as active listening, problem-solving, and sharing. Grab your sword and shield, and join the adventure!
A typical morning at camp begins with free-play stations, followed by interactive story time, a drama activity, snack break (snack is brought from home), a movement or dance activity, visual art, and a closing activity. At the end of the session, campers show off their newly sharpened theatre arts skills in an informal sharing for friends and family on the last day of camp.
Knights, Royalty, and Dragons is held off site at our neighborhood partner: The Primrose School of Downtown Bethesda, located one block from Imagination Stage (8101 Glenbrook Rd, Bethesda).
