Do you love to move and groove? Do you bop along to your favorite pop songs in the car? Are you ready to dance like pop royalty? Then join us for Dance: Pop Starz! In the morning, students learn basic dance technique and moves from popular music videos and artists. Campers develop performance skills such as stage presence and confidence. Embrace the joy of movement, make new friends, and leave your signature Pop Starz move on the dance floor!
In the afternoon, students flip the script. Well, if there was one. It has to be written first! Collaborate with fellow campers and explore the essentials of playwriting, including the basics of creating characters, setting, and a compelling plot using writing prompts and up-on-your-feet improvisation activities. Campers incorporate acting skills as they take their original works from the page to the stage.
Campers provide their own nut-free lunch and snacks. Week-long after-care is available (4:00-6:00 p.m.).
