Head Into the Woods and discover Mrs. Lovett’s Pie Shop while you Merrily Roll Along through Sondheim’s classic musicals. This camp is a perfect fit for all the triple threats out there who like things fast-paced. Students work with professional teaching artists to delve into several selections from Sondheim’s shows. Examining plot structure and character motivations, students learn to bring a complete character to the stage while also delving into musical theatre’s most intricate songs. Lessons in vocal technique and dance vocabulary give students a diverse toolbox from which to draw as they build and rehearse the musical selections. A performance of their work is held on the final day of camp.
