1205 Hullabaloo at the Zoo

Ages 4-5

August 12-23

2 Weeks

Imagination Stage

The gorilla has escaped, the giraffes can’t dance, and the zebras have lost their stripes! Join us for hilarious hijinks as we learn about different animals we can visit at the zoo. Using their actor’s tools of body, voice, mind, and imagination, students explore characters and storytelling through their favorite animal characters. Students also use simple props, movement, and visual art to bring these characters to life. Camp encourages creative expression and promotes self-esteem while working on skills such as active listening and sharing. It’s time to break out of the enclosure and turn this zoo upside down!

A typical morning at camp begins with free-play stations, followed by interactive story time, a drama activity, snack break (snack is brought from home), a movement or dance activity, visual art, and a closing activity. At the end of the session, campers show off their newly sharpened theatre arts skills in an informal sharing for friends and family on the last day of camp.
