In Acting 101, we explore the world of drama. Whether you’re an experienced performer or just curious about the world of acting, this camp is designed to make learning the core concepts of acting an absolute blast! Dive into engaging exercises, improv games, and scene work that will ignite your creativity and help you step into the shoes of different characters. Campers build understanding of the actor tools; make fun, dynamic choices rooted in action; and bring compelling stories to the stage.

In the afternoon, students flip the script. Well, if there was one. It has to be written first! Collaborate with fellow campers and explore the essentials of playwriting, including the basics of creating characters, setting, and a compelling plot using writing prompts and up-on-your-feet improvisation activities. Campers incorporate acting skills as they take their original works from the page to the stage.

Campers provide their own nut-free lunch and snacks. Week-long after-care is available (4:00-6:00 p.m.).
