Perform in a musical at Imagination Stage! Under the guidance of highly skilled teaching artists, campers learn valuable theatre arts skills in acting, singing, movement, and backstage design, all while rehearsing a production. Campers spend half their day in rehearsal and the other half in fun classes aimed at enhancing their performance skills. They are also immersed in the backstage process, helping create costumes, props, and scenic elements that are used in the final performance. Camp runs Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with after-care options available. Campers provide their own lunch and snacks.
Miss Nelson is Missing, adapted from the popular children’s book by Harry Allard, is a story perfect for the stage. Miss Nelson’s class is the worst behaved in the whole school. Spitballs flying across the room, paper airplanes sailing every which way and uncontrollable children send the gentle, long-suffering teacher, Miss Nelson, over the edge. But the students of Room 207 are in for a surprise when Miss Nelson turns up missing and is replaced by Viola Swamp, a scary substitute teacher who assigns homework from the underworld and wields her ruler like a sword! In desperation, the students set out to find their beloved Miss Nelson … but will they ever get her back?
