In this intensive, one-week program, held in the state-of-the-art studios at American University’s Katzen Arts Center, campers work with professional teaching artists exploring a variety of acting techniques that take their performance skills to the next level. Throughout the day, campers are immersed in foundational acting work, studying character building and scene analysis, as well as specialty subjects that enhance performance such as dialects, movement, or mask-work. Students apply their skills to the creation and rehearsal of a scene showcase performed on the last day of camp.
