Become the ultimate theatrical collaborator by creating scenes from the ground up. In this class, students are introduced to fundamental aspects of directing a play such as blocking, audience focus, rehearsal, casting, and script analysis. Through performing in peer-directed scenes, students have the opportunity to spend time as both the actor and the director. Students explore advanced acting concepts through instructor-led exercises and games. Class work culminates in a sharing of student-directed, student-performed scenes where students have the opportunity to demonstrate the skills they have been developing throughout the semester.
