1402 IStage Dance Theatre: Choreography and Performance

This intensive training and performance ensemble is recommended for students with a strong foundation in dance. Dancers build upon technique in contemporary ballet and modern dance, which are then applied to composition and choreography work. Dancers are also immersed in various dance styles to expand their training and experience of dance. This program is a two-semester commitment. The spring semester culminates in a presentation of work at Imagination Stage in the Reeve Studio Theatre, which is primarily choreographed by the students themselves alongside a professional teaching artist and choreographer. This year’s performance is scheduled for May 15-16, 2025. New students joining in the spring semester must be approved through audition. Acceptance to the class is by audition/approval from Ashlee McKinnon, Senior Faculty of Dance.
