1416 Filmmaking: Independent Study (Sept-May)

Having completed Film Conservatory, students may now advance to this unique, independently-oriented program. Students become auteurs as they create and produce a short production project from concept to completion. Benjamin Kapit, Imagination Stage Digital Media Manager, mentors each student throughout the various stages of their project; from script editing to post production. Student filmmakers are also able to borrow equipment from the Digital Media Department as needed (including camera, sound, lights, and grip equipment).

Registration for Independent Study requires completion of the Film Conservatories and permission of the instructor. This program requires a serious commitment of time and interest. To apply for this class please fill out the form here.
