Building on their filmmaking knowledge and skills gained in previous classes and camps, students work as a team to produce a multi-faceted narrative production from script to screen. In part one of this two-semester class, students create a screenplay from their original concept, then work on script interpretation, visual design, and pre-production logistics. A specific focus is placed on visual storytelling and cinematic style. In the second semester, the team shoots and edits the project to its completion, using the tools of the craft to construct an engaging story. The class culminates in a premiere screening at the end of the year. Students interested in narrative filmmaking can take this class multiple times, creating a new project each year and enhancing their skills and confidence as they progress.

Prerequisite: Fundamentals of Filmmaking, a previous Narrative Filmmaking class, High School Filmmaking Intensive Workshop, or a three-week summer Filmmaking camp.
