Explore the world of Broadway! In this class, students work on two of the disciplines that make up musical theatre: singing and dancing. Vocal work includes appropriate breathing, projection, and singing on pitch. The movement portion of the class covers basic techniques of the Broadway-jazz dance style such as the box step, grapevines, pivot, jazz hands, and turns. Students work toward the goal of performing the choreography and vocals of two to three musical selections for family and friends on the last day of class.
