Get ready to “Seize the Day” as students explore musical theatre through the high energy story of Newsies. Students work on creating believable characters for the stage as well as developing singing skills. Vocal technique and healthy singing practices are developed through warm-up routines, breath work, range building, and vocal placement awareness. Fun games and activities help students build a solid and caring ensemble and create an environment of trust where they can effectively explore, make bold choices, and take risks! At the end of the semester, students share musical theatre selections from Newsies!
