Don’t throw away your shot! Using the Broadway hit Hamilton as a springboard, students work to explore the style and technique specific to this musical through the staging of two to three numbers from the show. Students build foundational vocal technique and work to develop healthy singing practices (warm-up routines, breath work, range building, and vocal placement). They also explore ways to be expressive, build character, and tell a story through song and dance. Fun games and activities help students build a solid and caring ensemble and create an environment of trust where they can effectively explore, make bold choices, and take risks! Believable characters and dynamic staging comprise their final sharing where they will “blow us all away!”
