Drama & Drag: Petite Rouge A Cajun Red Riding Hood

Hop aboard the steam boat! It's full steam ahead to this Drag & Drama storytime event. In this caregiver and child class, participants use dramatic play, improvisation, and movement to bring the bayou to Bethesda. After an active reading of Petite Rouge: A Cajun Red Riding Hood by Local Drag Superstar, Mama Natych students bring the story to life through the use of simple props, costumes and prompts. Caregivers are welcome to join in on the fun or observe from the sidelines. All are welcome in the bayou!

Local Drag Artist - Mama Shirley Naytch is also known as Justin Schmitz, a frequent sound designer here at Imagination Stage, and as a very popular drag artist here in the Washington DC area, as well as in multiple places across the country! Mama Naytch loves to celebrate all of the best parts of life including education, gender expression, everything fabulous and shiny, and spending as much time as she can reading all of her favorite books to children across the country.
