Explore the world of Broadway! In this class, students work on two of the disciplines that make up musical theater: singing and dancing. Vocal work includes appropriate breathing, projection, and singing on pitch. The movement portion of the class covers basic techniques of the Broadway-jazz dance style such as the box step, grapevines, pivot, jazz hands, and turns. Classwork culminates in a final sharing for families on the last day of class. Classroom sharings offer an insightful look into the process of refining foundational skills over the 14-week semester, providing a glimpse into the classroom experience at Imagination Stage.
