Come defy gravity and dance through the land of Oz. This dance class draws from the popular Broadway musical Wicked, focusing on modern, musical theatre, and Broadway Jazz dance styles. Using popular selections from the show, students build foundational dance technique while learning choreography that tells a story through movement. The class culminates in one or two choreographed selections from Wicked to be shared with family and friends on the last day of class. Classroom sharings offer an insightful look into the process of refining foundational skills over the 6-week semester, providing a glimpse into the classroom experience at Imagination Stage.
