Are you a Swiftie who loves to move and groove? Do you like to “Shake It Off” to your favorite pop songs in the car? Are you ready to dance like pop royalty? Then join us for Dance: Pop Starz! Taylor’s Version. Using only music from Taylor Swift’s vast catalog, students learn dance techniques in jazz and hip hop. Students also learn performance skills to become “Fearless” such as eye contact, stage presence, and confidence. All students have the opportunity to build their own choreography and create their signature Pop Starz move to express their “Style!” Classwork culminates in a final sharing of one to two short pieces for families on the last day of class. Classroom sharings offer an insightful look into the process of refining foundational skills over the 6-week semester, providing a glimpse into the classroom experience at Imagination Stage.
