Hone the acting skills that are vital to performing. In Acting Skills, students focus on creating sustainable and believable characters and truthful actions for the stage. Students participate in a variety of fun exercises that work on physical control, human behavior observations, and realistic actions and reactions. Through games and activities, students build a strong and caring ensemble and create an environment of trust where they can effectively explore, make big choices, and take risks! These skills are applied to rich two to three person scene work which is shared in an informal performance on the last day of the semester. Classroom sharings are a chance to showcase the foundational skills that students work to refine during their 14-week semester. Sharings provide an insightful and detailed look at the process of exploring and polishing performance techniques, and are a truly wonderful opportunity to catch a glimpse of the classroom experience at IStage.
