1602 Filmmaking Conservatory: Sound Design for Film

Students look at sound as a storytelling device and explore techniques to make their sound tracks compelling and professional. The concepts of production sound, editing dialogue tracks, sound effects, ADR, foley, music, and mixing are discussed in detail, with a focus on how quality sound can improve a film. 


Prerequisite: 

One of the following classes: High School Filmmaking Intensive Workshop or Narrative Filmmaking Project I and II

Students can register for the Conservatory Package (Directing, Lighting, and Sound Design) at a discounted rate. Click here to register for all three.

*Students enrolled in the Filmmaking Conservatory program may register for the Independent Film Study program concurrently.
