The goal of this innovative program is to develop new plays and musicals for young performers! The actors in this program are given a unique opportunity to take risks on stage and share their ideas as they create new dramatic works that speak to their own experiences and those of their peers. The ensemble members–selected by audition–spend the year working with a professional director, music composer, and playwright, generating material and play-building during the first semester, then rehearsing for their production during the second. Speak Out on Stage is a year-long commitment from September to May.

Registration is only open to students who participated in the Fall semester. 

Information about auditions for next year’s Speak Out on Stage Ensemble can be found by contacting Pam Freedy (pfreedy@imaginationstage.org). A new ensemble is auditioned each summer to begin every September.
