For the highly-motivated but very busy high school student who wants a fast track through the film curriculum, this serious two-day comprehensive workshop focuses on the process of narrative filmmaking. Students learn dramatic structure; elements of cinematography, including effective composition, lens properties, and lighting; the pre-production process (organization, visualization, and planning for a successful production); visual storytelling concepts, and post-production techniques. Packed with information, this workshop is not only for beginners, but also for experienced filmmakers wanting to polish their knowledge of the craft and build a solid foundation. This class is a prerequisite for the Filmmaking Conservatory workshops.
