Stage Make-up teaches essential techniques for enhancing your character’s visual look for the stage. Students learn application techniques of basic corrective makeup (including blending, highlight/shadowing, and color theory) and then develop an understanding of how to ensure makeup holds up under the heat of lights and the physical acting demands of the actor. Students also explore the design and creation of fantasy, old age makeup, Drag, and scars and bruises.

Students must purchase the following makeup supplies prior to the start of class:

• A Ben Nye Student Kit *This kit comes in a variety of different skin tone options that you want to try to best match to your child’s skin tone.
• A Bruise Wheel *In the color options, choose ‘bruise’
• Makeup sponges available at any pharmacy/grocery store or Amazon
• Makeup wipes available at any pharmacy/grocery or Amazon
