Step into a world where fairy tales come alive! In this magical camp, young adventurers journey through classic tales, meet enchanting characters, and use their imaginations to create their own happily-ever-afters. Students use their actor’s tools of body, voice, mind, and imagination to explore their favorite fairy tales while integrating drama, visual art, music, or movement to bring stories to life. These play-based lessons build an arts vocabulary and promote confidence and self-esteem, as students embody each day's exciting new characters and settings.

A typical morning at camp begins with free-play stations, followed by interactive story time, a drama activity, snack break (snack is brought from home), a movement or dance activity, visual art, and a closing activity. On the last day, campers show off their newly sharpened theatre arts skills in an informal sharing for friends and family.

Fairy Tale Adventures is held off site at our neighborhood partner: The Primrose School of Downtown Bethesda, located one block from Imagination Stage (8101 Glenbrook Rd, Bethesda).
