Imagination Stage

$575

Throw your scripts away because it's time to improvise! Improvisation is the fun and challenging performance form that encourages spontaneous character creations, the unraveling of story in real time, hilarious conflicts, and comedic timing. Performers have to actively listen and contribute to the story in ways that keep the scene going and make their partners look good. Students develop important acting skills such as active listening, clarity of choices and intent, confidence, and teamwork.

In the afternoon, campers transform into playwrights! Inspired by new prompts and theatrical styles each day, campers develop exciting plots, strong characters, and convincing dialogue. Every afternoon brings a new way to approach theatre making, from physical activities to free writing to wherever the imagination may wander. Each day, a new play!

Campers provide their own nut-free lunch and snacks. Week-long after-care is available (4:00-6:00 p.m.).
