Held in the state-of-the-art studios at American University’s Katzen Arts Center, this one-week dance program exposes dancers to various techniques and styles such as modern, jazz, hip- hop, and ballet. Campers learn choreographic principles with the guidance of their professional dance instructor, and are introduced to signature styles from famous choreographers such as Fosse and Ailey. Dancers develop their technique, strength, and flexibility while learning dance routines and high-energy choreography. This is a great opportunity for dancers of all skill levels to expand their dance exposure and knowledge, culminating in a final showcase to share with friends and family on the last day of camp. This showcase offers an insightful look into the process of refining foundational skills over the 1-week camp, providing a glimpse into the camp experience at Imagination Stage.
