The Actor's Toolbox

10 weeks
Saturdays, 9/22-12/1
Grades 6-8
Class #5758

This class teaches key skills every actor needs to create a believable theatrical reality on stage. These skills include sensory awareness, active listening and reacting, building relationships with other actors, as well as vocal and physical expressiveness as a pathway to creating specific characters. These skills are built through theatre warm-ups, acting exercises, group improvisation, and scene-work. This class is a good preparatory course for those students interested in auditioning for Acting Conservatory or the IStage Performance Ensemble. An informal sharing of exercises and scene work will be performed for families on the final day of the semester.
