Teen Improv Troupe

10 weeks
Sundays, 9/23-12/2
Grades 9-12
Class #5764

Improvisers explore advanced character creation, storytelling, and the nature of ensemble work, all while honing a rapier-like wit. Students work on developing listening skills, spontaneity, and creativity, which they apply to various short and long form improv formats, including the Harold (a challenging twenty-minute theatre piece improvised from a one-word audience suggestion)! Each semester of the Teen Improv Troupe ends with a public Improv Night performance alongside college and professional improvisers from the Washington, DC comedy community.

Students in the Teen Improv Troupe must first participate in an audition process. Please contact Nikki Kaplan to schedule an audition at nkaplan@imaginationstage.org.
