1415 Filmmaking Conservatory: Sound Design for Film

Students look at sound as a storytelling device and explore techniques to make their tracks compelling and professional. The concepts of production sound, editing dialogue tracks, sound effects, ADR, foley, music, and mixing is discussed in detail, with a focus on how quality sound can improve a film. The film conservatory is best for students who have completed either Narrative Filmmaking or the High School Filmmaking Intensive. Students enrolled in the Filmmaking Conservatory program may concurrently register for the Independent Film Study program.
